US DOT 24-Hour Cooling-Off Rule

For itineraries to or from the United States, Copa Airlines adheres to US Department of Transportation (DOT) consumer rules: tickets purchased at least 7 days prior to scheduled departure can be canceled within 24 hours of booking for a 100% full cash refund without penalty.

Carrier Disruptions & Significant Schedule Changes

If Copa Airlines cancels a flight, delays departure significantly, or changes a schedule by more than 4 hours:

• Free Alternate Rebooking: Travelers are offered complimentary rebooking on the earliest available Copa flight to their ticketed destination.
• Full Cash Refund: Passengers who choose not to accept the alternative schedule are entitled to a complete cash refund to their original payment method.

No-Show Policy

Failing to board your flight without canceling or modifying your reservation prior to check-in closure results in a no-show. Non-flexible tickets forfeit their entire monetary value, and all subsequent segments in the reservation are automatically canceled.
