The Big Front Seat® is Spirit's premium seating option located at the front of the cabin in a 2-2 configuration. It provides wider leather seats, up to 36 inches of pitch, extra legroom, and guaranteed no middle seat. It is available for an optional upgrade fee or included directly with the Go Big fare package.

Is seat selection free on Spirit Airlines?

Advance seat selection is optional and requires a fee for standard seats on base unbundled fares, but is included in packages such as Go Savvy (standard seat) and Go Big (Big Front Seat). If you choose not to pay for advance selection, a seat will be assigned randomly at check-in free of charge.

Does Spirit seat families with children together?

Inclusions: Pre-selected complimentary when purchasing the Go Big travel bundle, or available for purchase as an à la carte upgrade on any flight.

2. Extra Legroom & Blocked Middle Rows (Go Comfy)

Configuration: Forward cabin rows and emergency exit rows.
Space: Up to 32 to 34 inches of pitch.
Guaranteed Space: Under the Go Comfy package, adjacent middle seats are kept vacant for enhanced personal room.

3. Standard Cabin Seating

Configuration: 3-3 layout with pre-reclined slimline ergonomic seating.
Pitch: 28 to 29 inches with compact tray tables.
Advance Reservation: Available for an optional fee based on row position and window/aisle preference, or included with Go Savvy.

Free Random Seat Assignment

If you choose not to pre-purchase a seat assignment:

Spirit will automatically assign you a seat at no charge during the 24-hour online check-in window.
Traveling parties on the same reservation without purchased seats are kept together whenever seat availability permits.
